In just a few short months, on October 28th, ProJet Aviation will be hosting the 11th annual Aviation Education and Career Expo at Leesburg Executive Airport. The Expo was created in order to present different careers in aviation and aerospace to young adults, in the 16 – 22 age range. Based on previous experience, more than 600 students, parents, and educators are expected to attend
This is a free event, open to the public, and attendees will be able to see live demonstrations, displays, and speakers from more than 50 aviation organizations. These will include the US military, emergency medical airlift, law enforcement, maintenance and avionics repair, government agencies, private aviation groups and more.
Even more exciting, according to Julie O’Brien of ProJet Aviation, who is a co-founder of the event, “We will award over $137,000 in aviation education scholarships and flight training awards this year. This money is life changing to many students. We rely completely on corporate funds and donations to make this day happen.”
